“I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list”. From an early age, Sharla was taught about geography/cultures from family members. She remembers sitting in a parked car with her parents, at the Los Angeles Airport, watching the airplanes fly overhead and land instilling in her a love for travel. At the age of 16, she traveled to Europe and continues to travel around the globe. Known as a travel guru, Sharla has been to all seven continents, nearly 80 countries/territories, and circumnavigated the world twice in two separate trips. People are always contacting Sharla with their travel questions. She loves to see the beauty of God’s creations, especially animals. A highlight for her was being amongst the penguins in Antarctica. Sharla also loved the interaction of the animals while on safari in Kenya and the seals and iguanas in the Galapagos. Even though she has been to all these places, Disneyland still holds a special place in her heart. She loves to bring back souvenirs for friends and family.
The world really is a wonder. Monica cherishes the beautiful landscapes she’s seen and the unique people she’s met throughout her journeys. “These journeys are a part of who I am!” She has lived in Austria, Hong Kong, NYC, India, and Argentina. She’s stepped foot on six continents and traveled to nearly 70 countries/territories. While living in Bangalore, India, she volunteered at a school for impoverished children for two years. That humbling, most rewarding experience, alone, she will always treasure. Her passion for travel comes from living abroad while single, married, and married with children. “Living abroad enriches you as you adapt to a new way of life. It teaches you that we are more alike than we are different.” Monica speaks Cantonese and Spanish. She continues to share her love of other cultures with her husband and two young children. Her son, who is seven years old, has already lived abroad and traveled to nearly 30 countries/territories. Her daughter was born in Argentina.
“Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved to do puzzles. I look at the world as one big puzzle. Each country I travel to, it’s like putting one more piece into the puzzle. Piece by piece (country by country) the world comes together.” She earned a degree in Geography and Global Studies with a minor in International Development. Don’t play any geography or travel game with her because if she goes first, you’ll never get a turn to answer a question. Britta has lived in Russia, Taiwan, and Puerto Rico. She has traveled to over 60 countries/territories. She is an adventure travel guru and knows how to travel on a dime. Traveling numerous times abroad as a solo female, Britta knows the ins and outs of staying safe. She speaks Spanish, a little bit of Russian, and is teaching herself Mandarin Chinese. Britta works for a non-profit company and travels internationally for work. She is an expert in booking flights, visa regulations, and all required documentation for traveling internationally. “The coolest thing is singing in other languages”.
Jessica loves to travel and experience new places and cultures, however it is beaches and Disney that top her list. “Disney is a place you can go, leave your worries, and be silly with your kids. I love the magic of Disney”. Jessica has traveled to nearly 30 countries/territories. Some highlights of her journeys are: riding a camel by the pyramids of Egypt, repelling down a waterfall in Costa Rica, riding a donkey up a cobblestone path in Santorini, Greece, paragliding in the French Alps, and dancing at night in Piazza San Marco, Venice — with the one she loves. She loves to document her journeys through pictures. Before Jessica goes anywhere she thoroughly researches about the place so she can get the most out of the experience. As a mother of two active boys sometimes traveling to faraway places is difficult, but it can be done! Jessica and her family enjoy outings near and far and love to just be outside enjoying the wonder of this beautiful world. “Adventure is out there, what are you waiting for? Go make your own adventurous memories!”

Tessa lived in Uganda where she volunteered for a non-profit organization helping women with their health. “Very few days go by that I don’t think about my experience in Uganda and the women I helped. I left my heart in Uganda.” She loves to take pictures of nature and wildlife. A memorable experience was going on several safaris in Kenya and seeing elephants, leopards, and giraffes. Tessa has been to six continents and traveled to nearly 30 countries/territories. She is an avid tennis junkie and has been to all four grand slams: Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.
